Longcase Clock - continued

the lyre pendulum, this has a brass turn screw below the 165mm brass polished bob which adjusts its length so that total accuracy can be easily achieved. The dial plate is made from solid brass and has a moving moon feature which follows the lunar cycle and shows star configuration. The top section of the clock slides forward on solid oak runners and is removable, the face door opens with solid brass offset swan neck hinges which allows it to swing around the turned columns. These have solid brass capitals fitted.
The base of the clock is constructed with a 25mm framework and has 3 solid oak, 18mm thick fielded panels. The bottom of the clock -
